Software
It is possible to translate or "transnotate" music from traditional notation into TwinNote using Finale software. John Keller, the designer of Express Stave notation, figured out a way to use Finale with alternative notation systems that use a chromatic staff. It can be done with Finale, but there are also ways to use it with Finale's NotePad 2006 or 2007, which were formerly free downloads. (Unfortunately it does not really work well with any of the later versions of NotePad).
You can find out more about this method of using Finale and other work on software for alternative notations on the Music Notation Project's Software page.
Please contact us if you are interested in transnotating music into TwinNote using Finale (or Finale NotePad 2006) on your own computer. If there is a piece of music you would like to see in TwinNote, feel free to contact us and we can see about transnotating it for you. See Sheet Music for more details.
